League
Founded in 2007, the Network Amateur Poker League (NAPL) was created due to a popular demand for a good poker game host. Having played Freeroll (no Buy-in) tournaments in a variety of venues, it became obvious that there was a need in the northern Indianapolis area for a tournament host that knows how to run the game with consistency and knowledge. Complaints from fellow players about equipment, cards, poor venues, cheating, and not having a smooth running game were abundant. These conversations presented an opportunity to Sell With Keller, LLC to create a partnership with Britton Tavern to have tournament style Freeroll games on a weekly basis. NAPL was born and has continued to grow ever since. Other locations have come and gone, and new venues are always welcome for consideration. Game consistency shows itself in the average number of players, chip-up levels, chip values, days and times of the week, and good equipment. Always a friendly, teaching atmosphere, new players are encouraged to attend so that they can learn to play the game without having their life savings at stake. With over 35 players each night, there is always competition to win points as well as nightly cash prizes, and bonus chip opportunities are always available.
Invitational Games
What good does it do to play without a chance to win bigger money? Invitational games were created to fill this void. 4 times a year, an invitational game is held to reward those that play regularly. Points are accumulated through attendance and nightly player wins. Those with higher points are guaranteed a seat in the Final game (always with at least a minimum of $300 Grand Prize), and all other players are provided with an opportunity to win a seat in that tournament through a Last Chance Qualifier. Weekly standing results are posted to this website as well as at each game. An Annual Invitational Game is in the planning stages.
Rules
Not micromanaged, but a good game without cheaters or gambling. We only ask that you respect the establishment that the game is being held in and others around you. Drinking is allowed, but obnoxious behavior is not. NAPL is an opportunity provided to players for entertainment purposes only, very much like a live band or a karaoke night. NAPL respectfully asks that you take good care of your waitresses and bartenders, too.
Thanks for Playing and We Look Forward to Seeing You!
